An innovative museum in the Mouresi municipality housed at the building of Achilopouleios Commercial School, in the district of Agia Paraskevi, Tsagarada, founded in 1903 by Sofocles Achilopoulos.
In the museum, which is new, the visitor has the opportunity to admire a large collection of folk art exhibits in digital interactive three-dimensional shape and various physical exhibits in miniature form. All items highlight the tradition and heritage of the area, showing details of the lives and occupations of the people.
The representative objects come from all sectors of the economy that evolved in the region and from mythology. The saddle, the shepherd’s crook and the axe are few of the objects of the primary sector. Works of weaving, painting, construction pottery are from the secondary sector and shipping and trade belong to the tertiary sector. Finally, from the field of Mythology, Chiron and Achilles and the centaur battle versus a Lapith, the museum has exhibits from centaur Chiron.
